I really wanted to like the La Mer eye balm, but it left me with dry, scaly patches on my eyelids.
...I have nothing else to add. Scaly eyelids = bad.

The La Mer Eye Balm is very rich and creamy and I find that it is easily absorbed, however, I much prefer the Eye Concentrate over this!

I have been using this for about 6 months and it has made no difference in the fine lines that I have. I am 32, so it's not like I have deep wrinkles or anything either! I do like the way it applies though and I do find it soothing, but that is not enough for this price. I have been using the StriVectin eye cream for a week and see more of a difference.

I have been using eye cream since I was a freshman in high school. I have tried many and I am really happy with this one. I cleanse, tone and use the CDLM even a little under my eye area, then I apply the balm gently under my eyes and up on my brow bone. It seems to keep that delicate area well hydrated and smooth.

I've heard this eye cream as being an 'indulgent splurge'. So I thought I would splurge out on an eye cream that I am going to use since it is so bloody expensive!
This is the first eye cream I have ever used. I only dab it on at night. To tell you the truth, I don't see much difference because when I wake up in the morning, I wash my face again and I am so dreary eyed- who can tell???
The only thing I don't like about it is the green colour! It's not bright green, more like an algae-tinge to it. Otherwise it is very hydrating seeing as I am using it in winter. I won't purchase this again because of the price tag and I don't have noticeably dark circles/puffy eyes (touch wood!) so really I don't know why I did in the first place! :D There are cheaper eye creams out there and I suppose you can use a moisturiser lightly around the eye area.

This feels lovely but I don’t feel like it’s brightened my eye area and it hasn’t helped with any wrinkles yet either! Pricey, but it will last me a long time. I will use this until it’s finished and not sure if I’ll re-purchase.

When it comes to skin care, if the product delivers, then i'm willing to dish out the big bucks, and this one does come with a hefty price tag. I tried this a couple of years ago, the consistency is rather nice and feels good during application, but for me it didn't seem to hydrate enough and i had to reapply throughout the day. More hype than miracle cream. For this price, i like La Prarie Celluar eye moisterizer much better, which i don't have to reapply and it comes with an SPF 15.

I love La Mer products but I'm just not a huge fan of this. I have found that Kiehls Abyssine Eye Cream works just as well and it's only $32. Personally I just put the regular creme de la mer under my eyes, and I think that works better not to mention one oz of cream is the same price as half an once of the eye balm. I'm young so that works for me, when I get older I'll probably look into an actual eye cream, just not this one.

I have some fine lines under my eyes and I find that this La Mer eye balm is the best to smooth them out. I really like that it's non greasy and absorbs into the skin really well. I notice right away a difference in my skin...more elasticity and the skin looks smoother. It's definitely one of my favourite under eye creams, and great cause I have combination skin and it provides just the right amount of moisture.

I really like this eye balm!It really lightens my dark eye circle and gives my under eye area a really "fresh" look. My under eye area is hydrated and even those annoying facial lines have reduced. And those little bumps resulted from rich eye product are gone too. It's actually a must buy for me but the price is horribly expensive!

    Pros:
    Thick texture
    Easily absorbed
    Very hydrating

    Cons:
    No visible improvement
    Packaging
    The green dye
    Conclusion:
I like this, but I don't love it. For what it costs its not performing any miracles. The texture is great and it is very hydrating but thats it. I haven't experienced millia like I feared, but after a month I'm not seeing any improvment. The glass pot is elegant, but impractial and the fact that its a green solution bothers me. I do like this more than the eye concentrate for many reasons, but I don't think I'd buy it again. There are much better products on the market.

    Alternative:
there are many better eye creams, but I can't think of one that's similar

    This product is Mehh.
I prefer the Pro+Therapy Ultra Rich Eye Repair for the eyes. When I apply the Kinerase, the bags and stuff seem to be minimized.
I love other La Mer products, but I will not buy this one again.

Smells great, but does nothing for puff, circles, or wrinkles. It also makes me rub my eyes at night. I don't advise using before makeup in the morning due to the shiny, filminess. Concealer won't cooperate with this. So disappointing.

I received this eye balm as a gift and i was very excited to use it. I heard all these great things and that some stars swear by it... I have to say I was very disappointed. I tried it for a month and nothing... I still have my dark circles, which comes from lack of sleep.. and it doesn't work well with concealer.. I was reading that La Mer is now owned by Estee Lauder so maybe they have a better selection or a better eye creme.... I'm currently using Patricia Wexler Undereye Brightening Creme and so far so good. I've only been using it a few days but have noticed a great difference...

This was the only eye cream that produced dramatic results for me. My eyes are sensitive and most eye creams seem to work at first and then start leaving red, raw patches. Creme de la Mer left my undereye looking elastic and satiny. My fine lines diminished greatly and when I smiled, as I said, the skin looked elastic and satiny, not crinkly and dry. I did use this as instructed with the CdlM on top and as stated had amazing results. I am heart broken to learn from Holt Renfrew in Canada that it has been discontinued. Apparently they had to get rid of it so that they could flog their ridiculous new concept cream that comes with its very own silver spoon to apply. So sad, they could have had my business forever had they not insulted my intelligence. If you can still buy the Balm, I suggest you stock up.

I got this La Mer eye balm as a gift from my friends. This is an expensive eye cream because the small tub cost them around SIN$220!
I was thrilled when I got this! I heard La Mer is well-known for their skincare. The brand uses good ingredients. For its hefty price, it better be good! Afterall, it cannot not be inferior since it so expensive!!!
I am looking forward to using it. HOWEVER, after 6 months of consistent usage, I did NOT see any improvement around my eye area. NOT all all. It's such a disappointment!!!

I received a deluxe sample of this eye cream when I placed an online order a while ago. While I love the consistency and texture of this eye cream, it didn't really do anything to improve my eye area. It didn't help with the fine, dry lines nor did it do anything to help with dark circles or puffiness. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, this is a mediocre product. It is a basic eye cream that will moisturize your eye area, but it doesn't provide any treatment whatsoever. For this kind of money, I'd like to see more results from my skin care products. I glad that I didn't have to buy the full-size product in order to try this; I definitely would never purchase it.

I used this product 4-5 years ago and could not remember why I did not repurchase but instead settled for Sisleya. So I purchase a bottle recently.
It's creaminess does not bother me. But after using this for three months I notice that it did not help my fine lines. Furthermore, my fine lines appear to have resurfaced. I will go back to Sisleya.
    This is a mediocre product.

I hate to say it but I love this product. Actually I love almost all of the La Mer products I've tried. I just wish they were a little less expensive.
Anyway, this eye balm is amazing. I have been using it for over a month now and notice a huge difference in the smoothness under my eye area and the disappearance of fine lines. No help with the darkness but honestly I don't think anything really helps with that. This is a great product to wear under concealer as it gives it just enough hydration to not look textured. Love it!

THE best eye cream I have tried, ever. Last time I ordered 2 jars. It is very expensive, but makes the skin on my eye lids SMOOOTH. My trick is to apply a bit of La Mer the Moisturizer on top of this. BTW they both smell horrible worn around the eye area at the end of the day when I take it all off, do not know why. Show me a better eye cream and I´ll change. For now, it is La Mer!
